I joined a facebook group called Fleet Feet Fit Chicks this week. They are a group of women focusing on fitness and have social gatherings involving runs. Their first event is this week and it's 2-4 mile walk/run and social hour. I'm debating on whether or not to go. I really want to, but am terrified that I will be the slowest/most pathetic person there and that people will look at me and wonder why someone my size is even there. Hmm...but then when I read what I just wrote, it kinda makes me wanna go even more....I guess I'll have to update you guys next week on if I went or not.
Then there's the Sweetheart Run on 2/16. I'm really excited about this one because the proceeds go to a local camp for children and families with heart abnormalities. I love doing races that I feel something strongly about the cause. Hell, if there was a domestic violence race, I think I'd walk/pimp the shit outta that one. :) I'm thinking about just doing these a few times a month even if I don't register just to get in some serious mileage.
My husband has signed up for the Warrior Dash in May. He's going to be running a 5K, but there are 12 obstacles on the course. I'd like to do that one, but I think that might be a next year goal. Can you guys tell how much I wanna run?!
Diet is going okay. I've got to figure out things to cook so that I'm not eating all the same things all the time. Anyway, next week is the big 2 month pics and measurements post so stay tuned!
