My husband and I decided to try an intro to spin class today at our local gym. As he is in good shape, and I have been working out 5-6 days a week, I thought this would be no biggie. A twenty minute ride while sitting down? No problem!
However, this was twenty minutes of hell. HELL I tell you! First of all, the seat hurts like a bitch! It's so tiny that all of my ass fat hangs off the sides and it tries to wedge itself up my butt and in other places making a romantic weekend all but impossible. (Sorry for the mental image, but seriously, I have to be straight with you.) Then there's a hyperactive poodle of an instructor yelling out how he likes to see us sweat and give him dirty looks. There was a lot more than angry looking coming his way. If' I'd had laser beams in my eyes, this boy would be toast. I burned 512 calories during that 20 minutes, and I swear, those calories went out fighting, kicking and screaming. I'm pretty sure time slowed down just to piss me off.
That being said...I think I'll go back next week.
